Vintage-Inspired Halloween Signs – Handcrafted with Timeless Detail

Handcrafted Artwork, Not Generic Clip Art

These signs are not mass-produced or pulled from generic clip art libraries. Each design begins with my personal search for rare and historic Halloween ephemera and iconography that is confirmed to be in the public domain. From there, I carefully hand-trace every line on my iPad using Procreate—capturing even the smallest details like printer errors and ink bleeds from the originals.

The tracings are then digitized in Adobe Illustrator and brought into Photoshop, where I antique and refine each one with layered textures of paper, rust, and dust. The result is artwork that looks legitimately timeworn and nostalgic, with nuances so subtle that some aren’t even visible in product thumbnails—but shine through beautifully in print.

Nostalgia Meets Graphic Design Expertise

Alongside the traced pieces, I’ve designed new Halloween signs inspired by vintage ads, candy posters, costume shops, and event flyers from decades past. Drawing on my background as a graphic designer, I study historic fonts, color palettes, phrasing, and composition to recreate the mood of simpler times. These signs are meant to stir a tinge of nostalgia, evoking the warmth of fall gatherings before the digital age.

Built to Last – Indoors or Outdoors

Every sign is printed on 3mm thick commercial-grade aluminum composite panels and cut with precision CNC machines. This lightweight yet rigid material is weatherproof, making it perfect for porches, mantels, storefronts, or fences. Signs can withstand rain, snow, heat, and cold, and they’re easy to clean with just a damp cloth. When the season ends, their slim, sturdy design makes storage simple.

Need a thicker sign? We can double the thickness to 6mm for a small price difference.  Most customers find that the 3mm thickness is both sturdy and easy to handle.

Hanging Your Sign

Your sign will not come with hanging holes.  However, a simple drill bit will easily pass through the face of the sign.  Please use caution and proper safety equipment; customers may have best results if using a piece of painters tape applied to the area that they'll drill through which prevent errant scratches.  You can also use nails or screws around the perimeter of the sign to hang the sign from a surface. Please display your sign with safety in mind!

On Sizing & Dimensions

Please note that our dimensions provided are relative to the orientation of the artwork.  For instance.  If a sign's product image is displayed in a landscape orientation, the dimensions available to choose from may be reversed (Width x Height).  

For signs that are a custom shape, dimensions are listed for the maximum width or height that the sign fits inside of.  We may list a sign as "36in x 36in" whereas the design is cut to a custom shape that is smaller overall from the listed dimensions.  Rest assured, your sign will be made to the maximum to whichever dimension (width or height) applies to the nature of the design.  If you need exact dimensions of an item, please send a message before ordering!
